A new hat for ennobled Knapp?

Will Vanessa Knapp buy a new hat?

She will going to Buckingham Palace soon to receive her OBE for services to company law as the UK representative on the Company Law Committee of the Council of the Bars and Law Societies of the European Union (see story).

I hope Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer will allow her time between meetings to pop out for a spot of millinery.

Vanessa has been a stalwart of the City of London Law Society and it is really terrific to see a solicitor recognised in this way. I am sure Her Majesty will understand if a few chargeable hours get in the way and she turns up hatless.
